The giftedfamilies website was launched in May 2007 - the second anniversary of the giftedfamilies Yahoo group.

The purpose of the giftedfamilies website is to provide concise, helpful information about giftedness, particularly to people who are new to the term. It functions as a repository for collecting together the most invaluable information and links to further resources.

After two years of discussions, the members of the giftedfamilies community have found that several key themes recur frequently and it is our hope that this website will help you find what you need, when you need it, easily. (Feedback is always welcome!)

In addition, issues relating to giftedness, education and parenting frequently appear in mainstream news. The giftedfamilies website provides a "newswatch" area to channel links to such articles into a single stream. Newswatch is also available via RSS. (What is RSS??)
